Treadmills
Achilles 400 is a treadmill for home runners: a 3.0 HP AC motor (S1) for continuous load, speed from 1 to 22 km/h and a powered incline of 0 to 15 %, so it handles a walk, a tempo run and hills. Achilles 800i is a commercial treadmill with a 5.0 HP AC inverter motor (S1), a touch TFT display and user accounts; it belongs in a club that runs from morning to night. Unlike DC motors, AC motors do not lose power under a heavy runner on a long run and they last longer. AMREP X RUNNER goes the other way: a curved deck with no motor that you drive with your own stride. Aluminium slats, a running surface of 150 × 48 cm, a 180 kg capacity and a five-inch panel with interval programmes.
Air resistance: AIRBIKE, SKIERG and ROWERG
Three machines with the same logic: the air makes the resistance, so it grows with how hard you push and there is nothing to switch. AMREP X AIRBIKE has a belt drive, a steel fan and a monitor with 20/10 and 10/20 intervals, watts and heart rate. AMREP X SKIERG copies the cross-country skiing pull, stands free on its platform and has ten resistance steps. AMREP X ROWERG has a metal flywheel, an aluminium rail, a 230 kg capacity and a monitor with the 500 m pace. SKIERG and ROWERG both have Bluetooth and pair with the Kinomap app. None of these machines needs a socket.
Stair climber
AMREP X STAIRCLIMBER has eight steel steps, a pace of 28 to 168 steps per minute and a 200 kg capacity. The LED console shows time, speed, steps and calories, the handrails run the full length and the steps are backlit in red. Unlike the other machines here it needs a 220 V socket, because a motor turns the steps. It loads the glutes and thighs without pounding the knees, which is why clubs put it right next to the treadmills.
